the biggest wrestling news like… Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn WrestleMania 34 Plans
…WWE not really having anything for several of their major stars at WrestleMania. Despite being heavily featured in SmackDown’s
top storyline since Summerslam last August, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter is
reporting the current WrestleMania plans for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is for them to wrestle
in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal – despite SmackDown building some form of
Daniel Bryan vs Shane McMahon match around them since last year. Raw’s WrestleMania 34 Plans
While most of the main feuds on Raw have started to build towards WWE’s biggest show of the
year, the tag team division also lacks direction – with champions Sheamus and Cesaro beating
both Titus Worldwide and The Revival clean in recent weeks – which caused Sheamus to
issue an open challenge on Twitter. Despite this being answered by both 2018 Hall
of Fame inductee Bubba Ray Dudley and The Bullet Club’s Young Bucks, it appears WWE
have something else in mind for the Bar’s match at WrestleMania: which is nothing. Although PWInsider claim “the current plan
for the Bar is to face a team “not currently a team” at Wrestlemania 34”, the latest
Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting: “Right now the plan is for no match with
Sheamus & Cesaro at Mania, but for them to be part of the show in an angle of sorts”. Dave Meltzer points out, though, that The
Bar “are part of a lot of things on the Raw side that are still in flux”. This mainly includes arguably WWE’s hottest
star right now, Braun Strowman, who is currently without a match at WrestleMania. PWInsider claim that more names might be added
to the Intercontinental Title three way between The Miz, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor – with
the Observer listing Strowman and Samoa Joe as the most likely additions. But why are so many top WWE stars – Strowman,
Owens, Zayn, Joe, Cesaro and Sheamus – lacking solid WrestleMania plans just a month out
from the show? Backstage Concern Over Brock Lesnar & Roman
Reigns According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter,
it’s because there’s backstage concern over the pay-per-view’s main event between
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, and that the WrestleMania card is still in flux in case
any last-minute changes to the Universal Championship match have to be made. Apparently, “WWE is definitely going with
the idea [Lesnar is] leaving and part of the mentality right now is to downplay him on
the way out” – with Brock’s WWE contract expiring at WrestleMania 34, after which he’s
strongly teased he’ll return to UFC, with UFC President Dana White posting a photo of
the two together on the day of Raw’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. WWE presumably want to avoid having to rely
on a self-interested Brock. Reigns, meanwhile, has a potential PR disaster
looming in his background. Several weeks ago, Johnny Bravo – the filmmaker,
not the 90s Cartoon Network character – claimed to have evidence that Roman acquired performance
enhancing drugs from jailed steroid dealer Richard Rodriguez. While Bravo still hasn’t released that evidence,
and there might not even be a legitimate story there, WWE are concerned enough to not confirm
their WrestleMania plans for “a few key players until they are sure the issues with
the main event is settled.” Catch up with the latest episode of NGW Wrestling
