WE FINALLY KNOW WHY! Kofi Kingston Breaks His Silence On Why Brock Lesnar SQUASHED HIM | Smackdown

December 2, 2019

KOFI KINGSTON FINALLY BREAKS HIS SILENCE…HIS
REAL FEELINGS ON LOSING WWE TITLE TO BROCK LESNAR IT’S BEEN QUITE SOMETIME SINCE SMACKDOWN’S
DEBUT SHOW ON THE FOX NETWORK THE MAIN EVENT OF THE NIGHT WAS SUPPOSED TO
BE THIS EPIC MATCH UP BETWEEN THE UNDERDOG CHAMPION GOING UP AGAINST THE FAVORITED CHALLENGER HOWEVER, WE NEVER REALLY GOT TO ACTUALLY SEE
THAT MATCH PLAY OUT BECAUSE LESNAR OBVIOUSLY WON IN 5 SECONDS OVER KOFI AFTER THE GREAT HISTORIC REIGN KOFI HAD… IT LEFT A BAD TASTE IN FANS’ MOUTHS TO SEE
IT END LIKE THAT THE WORST PART IS THAT IT SEEMED BOTH KOFI
KINGSTON THE CHARACTER AND PERSON HAD NO FEELINGS TO WHAT HAD HAPPENED KOFI KINGSTON THE CHARACTER DIDN’T MAKE
THE EFFORT TO EVEN ATTEMPT TO GET A REMATCH… AND IT WAS ALMOST LIKE HE COMPLETELY FORGOT
HE WAS EVEN WWE CHAMPION BECAUSE THE FOLLOWING WEEK HE WAS OUT THERE FLINGING PANCAKES LIKE
NOTHING HAPPENED WELL NOW KOFI KINGSTON IS FINALLY BREAKING
HIS SILENCE AND LETTING US KNOW HIS HEARTFELT THOUGHTS ON THAT UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT IN HIS
CAREER IN A INTERVIEW WITH ALEX MCCARTY, KOFI WAS
ASKED ABOUT BEING SQUASHED AS THE REIGNING DEFENDING CHAMPION AND HE HAD THIS TO SAY: “IT WAS A BIT OF DISAPPOINTMENT TO GO OUT
THERE AND HAVE IT GO SO QUICKLY…” “ON THE BIGGEST NIGHT OF SMACKDOWN. TO HAVE IT END LIKE THAT IS A LITTLE BIT DISHEARTENING…” “BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT IS WHAT IT
IS. IT’S NOT LIKE I CAN DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.” AND KOFI IS COMPLETELY RIGHT, HE’S GRATEFUL
ENOUGH TO HAVE EVEN HELD THE TITLE IN THE FIRST PLACE… SO THE LAST THING HE WOULD WANT TO DO IS TO
MAKE A SCENE ABOUT LOSING IT LIKE THAT DON’T GET IT MISTAKEN THOUGH, KOFI KINGSTON
IS STILL DOING WELL AND IS ALREADY A CHAMPION AGAIN THE NEW DAY RECENTLY PICKED UP THEIR RECORD
7X WWE TAG TITLE REIGN SO KOFI IS STILL BEING FEATURED BUT NO LONGER
AS A SINGLES MAIN EVENT TALENT WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON KOFI KINGSTON’S
COMMENTS?

The wwe character, Kofi Kingston, never really had any reaction to losing the WWE title, but now months later, we're finally getting a reaction from Kofi Kingston himself. Do you still think it was the right move to end Kofi's reign the way they did? Leave your comments, don't forget to Subscribe, and leave a like if you enjoyed! Thanks for watching guys! 😀

It's cool he's taking it in a good way but a lot of fans were behind him and some feel cheated that it was essentially a one time thing.

I thought Brock beating Kofi in the fashion he did was the perfect to get heat! 😂

    SPOILER ALERT!
You don't get an answer of why Kofi got squashed, he just says he's grateful.

  • Reply Kashawn Jones November 29, 2019 at 5:26 pm

Kofi is such a class act he takin this like a real man and this is why he is one of the most liked and respected competitors and people in the company and he will always have my respect as a face or a heel

  • Reply Charles Kuckel November 29, 2019 at 5:28 pm

People got tired of Kofi Kingston as WWE Champion VERY quickly. He became part of New Day and couldn't separate himself from the group. He DIDN'T have the "look of a Champion" either.

Daniel Bryan got people behind him as an underdog because he was ALWAYS a loner. However, he was booked to get squashed by Brick Lesnar as well. The difference is Daniel got injured SO John Cena got the treatment instead.

I DO agree that Kofi COULD have gotten squashed BUT in a LONGER match than JUST 5 seconds. It was insulting to him despite what the WWE Universe was thinking about him at the time.

    Disliked because of awful music

  • Reply Wayne King November 29, 2019 at 5:56 pm

Kofi Kingston should get a rematch against Brock Lesnar for the W.W.E. SmackDown championship or win the thirty man over the top rope Royal Rumble to face Brock Lesnar for the W.W.E. SmackDown championship at WrestleMania 36 in the main event.

  • Reply Lance Hurst November 29, 2019 at 6:03 pm

I can sorta understand him losing but the way it happened was messed up

  • Reply Nonameisthename 1 November 29, 2019 at 6:26 pm

I think it's pure BS that he got to "hold" the championship for a few months, and then lose it in 5 seconds, and not have anything to say about it! Then don't even get a return match. That's the ultimate slap in the face!!😡

It would be nice if one didn't have to pause the video to read each one of the subtitles because they go by so fast. I would much rather have spoken word in the videos…

Kofi Kingston should've been WWE World Heavyweight Champion before 2k19 he should've been WWE World Heavyweight Champion in 2009 I'll give him four reigns as WWE World Heavyweight Champion

  • Reply Tristan Irby November 29, 2019 at 7:59 pm

I’m glad Kofi won and was Champion for a some months. I’m glad he was grateful and beating himself up about it but I wish he would have gotten another title shot after that lost. He deserves it. But that powers that be which is Vince and family ended the rematch clause so whenever a wrestler loses the title they have to earn it back and not have it giving to em. But it does suck the way he lost cause they made it seem like his title was irrelevant. And Kofi was and is more of fighting Champion that Brock is. Brock only defended the belt twice since he won it and who knows when he will defend the title again. And I hope KK gets another shot at the title in the near future

  • Reply Timothymooregaming November 29, 2019 at 7:59 pm

Literally the thing that turned me off of wwe completely he deserved better I didn’t care that he lost because I knew he would lose but just let him put up a good fight give us a 10min match at least not 5 secs after the man was on fire beating everyone for 7 months. I said it if u rewatch the entire 2019 of wrestling you would see how big of a mess creative is. It seems like they have no long term plans for anyone I’ll stick with AEW for now because wwe has become terrible

  • Reply John Reynolds November 29, 2019 at 8:16 pm

The bottom line is that they never wanted him to hold (that) belt IC title sure tag sure..but him or anyone looking like him was never to hold the belt…it was more of a sins of the past got him that belt…:Booker n Triple H"..plus brock gets what he wants ..hes the new Shaw Michaels and Hunter rolled in one except they respected the business

  • Reply Christopher McQueen November 29, 2019 at 8:20 pm

I think he should go heel and be a main event superstar. Tired of seeing the same guys mostly main event. Kofi is too talented to be a mid card guy.

  • Reply Derrick Harris November 29, 2019 at 8:26 pm

Seems like he's happy about being one of the guys instead of being THE guy….sad

  • Reply Mario Rodriguez November 29, 2019 at 9:12 pm

He's absolutely right, no sense crying over spilt milk, just be professional and go on about your career. It's not necessarily the end of the world and who knows maybe he'll get another run with it down the line!!

  • Reply Allah Whitaker November 29, 2019 at 9:18 pm

To be real Kofi Kingston is champion material how people gonna say Kofi Kingston isn’t championship material he won the the intercontinental championship United States championship and wwe championship wwe tag team championship and smack down tag team championship all the title he don’t have is the universal championship

  • Reply margaret proctor November 29, 2019 at 9:23 pm

  • Reply Colin Dendie November 29, 2019 at 10:39 pm

What was the point of that then? I was gonna respond with chapter and verse but, I'm gonna show the same intent that Kofi is showing the title, and it goes like this…………………………..

  • Reply CosmicJoe`sLife November 29, 2019 at 10:46 pm

Like everyone else in the WWE,if he complained about being booked to lose badly, he wouldn’t be used ever again and get paid for nothing as over half of the talent does.

  • Reply Cj Clack November 30, 2019 at 12:50 am

They could have giving Kofi a good match to end his reign instead of a squash match. Like daniel Bryan and aj styles

  • Reply Quintin Montes November 30, 2019 at 12:54 am

Because kofi is the worst champion ever

  • Reply Jimmy Clark November 30, 2019 at 2:06 am

If a champion (any champion) goes down and loses the title, he should at least be able to go down fighting like a true champion. The way it happened and his acceptance of how and why it happened the way it did is what makes him a true champion wheather he has the title or not.

    SCREW LESNAR, LEAVE WWE!!!!!

  • Reply Raymond Weston November 30, 2019 at 1:06 pm

Personally; while I understand, that Kofi is playing “Mr Nice Guy”, and “Company Man”, with his reactions. Staying in character. I don’t agree with the overall stance, that’s being taken.

The WWE as a whole; has shown Kofi Kingston, a vast amount of disrespect, and by virtue; his African American fan base an equal amount of disrespect.

Jinder Mahal was given the WWE Championship; in a nonsensical attempt, to appeal to the Indian Market. Even his character, was allowed to attempt a rematch; before he went back to being a comedy act.

The Kofi Kingston character, is devoid of fighting instinct, at this point.

In 2020; where there are other Wrestling company options. I choose to not endorse the Kofi Kingston character. I will change the channel; whenever The New Day appear on TV.

This is simply, My opinion. Other fans can continue to endorse him, and be entertained by him. He’s a good guy. But; he’s too much of a Company guy, for my preferences.

It's still fucked up that they ended his reign like that…

  • Reply melvin martinez November 30, 2019 at 2:13 pm

    Glade he lost!

  • Reply Andy R. November 30, 2019 at 4:42 pm

Just as most have commented mine comment is no different. Kofi shows the utmost best attitude in this case. It was a long time before Kofi could even be considered and get the chance for the championship match for the belt. Unlike most who holds the belt (ex. Brock Lesner) Kofi didn't get an overinflated ego. Kofi understood the hard work it took for him to have this opportunity and realized that it's not to be held forever. We all expected that Paul Heyman was going to be crying about a rematch to regain a match for Lesner. If not I would have no problem of Lesner leaving WWE because he doesn't get what he wants (Belt & Money) and cry like a spoiled brat.

Hey, wrestlingworldcc, why is it you have these videos with these subtitles man? It’s stupid. You think it’s fun having to stop the video to read the darn text? Listen to your viewers man, get rid of it and just speak!

  • Reply Steve Convertibles November 30, 2019 at 5:00 pm

I guess it’s better to have held the title and lost it, than to have never held it at all.

Not taking anything away from Cain but it's bs he pop and get a title shot

  • Reply Robert S.Hill November 30, 2019 at 11:41 pm

I feel like this. Kofi is my guy. Since I first saw him debut, he was different. Hiwever I do believe Kofi was owed more than that. It's like this you did what you finally came to do, you got robbed. Do you stand there and take it ? Or do you take that Momentum, go somewhere else, and get Treated with Respect??? It's that simple ✊🤨✊🤐

  • Reply Dom Force December 1, 2019 at 12:40 am

Bottom line, Kofi losing to Brock in seconds made his championship reign look like a joke, especially when there was no mention of a rematch or any relay from Kofi.

You know this is going to be considered a racial thing because he didn't get a better creative storyline and Brock is considered the white privilege

  • Reply Tyler Spencer December 1, 2019 at 8:46 pm

I think Kofi is completely right and I’m glad that he is still in the championship status

  • Reply Dennis Lewis December 2, 2019 at 5:19 pm

That's what they do to every black Champion. They get the belt have it for about 2 months. Then lose it to somebody quickly. JS
