HUGE WWE WrestleMania 34 Match REVEALED?! | WrestleTalk News Oct. 2017

December 21, 2019

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News
– I’m Oli Davis. Where Is Tom Phillips? Tom Phillips hasn’t been on the last two
episodes of Smackdown LIVE because he’s mysteriously ‘on assignment’. Michael Cole has been filling in for him on
commentary, although they sound so similar, even WWE’s graphics department thinks Tom’s
still around. Phillips’ sudden disappearance happened
in the same period as Neville and Nia Jax reportedly walking out on the company, and
the virus outbreak backstage at Raw putting numerous wrestlers out sick – but according
to Wrestling Inc, Tom’s assignment was the good kind of backstage news: he’s been given
time off to get married. But Phillips’ Smackdown commentary partner
Corey Graves has revealed another reason behind Tom’s absence…
“@tomphillipswwe relocated to Albania to drive a limo and sell counterfeit designer
goods out of the trunk.” Roman Reigns TLC Replacements
WWE were put in a very unfortunate situation late last week when both Roman Reigns and
Bray Wyatt were taken ill just days before their featured matches at TLC. Wyatt was replaced by Smackdown’s AJ Styles,
but the Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins vs Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman and
Kane main event had a lot more riding on it. The entire card was build around the long-awaited
Shield reunion, but now WWE would be forced to tell a different story. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reveals
that although Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is considered a hometown star in Minneapolis
– where the pay-per-view was taking place, and where Brock went to college – “Lesnar
was never even called.” Chris Jericho, however, was, but he’s currently
on tour with Fozzy and was unable to make the show. Vince McMahon ended up going with Kurt Angle,
making the Raw General Manager’s WWE in-ring return for the first time in 11 years. While it certainly created considerably more
mainstream interest in TLC than the previous Shield reunion storyline, it will unfortunately
detract from the properly promoted and built Kurt return WWE apparently had planned, as
the Observer notes “Angle was already slated for a program, likely for WrestleMania.” Luckily, it seems WWE have something else
planned for their biggest show of the year. Ronda Rousey WrestleMania 34 Match
Over the Summer’s Mae Young Classic tournament, it appeared WWE were building a MMA Four Horsewoman
vs WWE Four Horsewoman match – with Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir and Mae
Young Classic finalist Shayna Baszler in one corner, and Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Bayley
and Sasha Banks in the other. The reported plan was to do a match at Survivor
Series, which would set up Rousey vs either Charlotte or Stephanie McMahon for WrestleMania
34. But with this year’s Survivor Series again
being built around the Raw vs Smackdown theme, the Wrestling Observer is reporting the Horsewomen
vs Horsewomen match has been pushed back to WrestleMania, taking the place of a Rousey
singles bout. Ronda reportedly started training with The
Brian Kendrick in July, and Dave Meltzer adds she was at the WWE Performance Center this
past week. How will WWE book John Cena vs Jinder Mahal? And have Rusev’s Smackdown plans been revealed? Click the videos to the left to find out,
